Hello everybody, :)

I installed KDE neon earlier, and i wanted to to change font size in settings > fonts : i can change size but the apply button is locked.
I has a little problem on chmod in my own user folder, i has fix it, but i don't know if it's the cause of my font issue.

Somebody can help me please ?
Thank you.

Looks like it's more than likely a permissions problem. Go into your Home folder, right click, properties, make sure you're the folder owner, & that you "can view & modify content" of folder.
If not open a terminal & run the following command:
Code: Select all
sudo chown -R username:username /home/username

Obviously changing username for your own user name. Then check it again.

Code: Select all
sudo chown -R $USER:$USER /home/$USER

Currently running KDE Neon 5.22.5 and 5.19.4 (with Windows 10 in a VM); migrated from Linux Mint 17.3

Nope, it's still don't work. :(
May be not a chown/chmod issue ?
What other stuff can make bugging ? A missing lib ?

When you say you had a little problem with chmod & fixed it, what exactly was the problem? & what did you do?
You could also create a new user, login as the new user, try changing font size, if all is well, then it has to be some configuration you've changed.

I change owner and mod but it's still locked.
Code: Select all
-rwxrwxrwx 1 adrien adrien 3,8K janv. 20 14:15 .config/kdeglobals

However, i can change some stuffs with editing : .config/kdeglobals and adding following code (pasted from an other post) : but it's not very usefull : and i can't change titlebar size, config key may be different. And apply button on settings panel still locked !
Code: Select all
[General]
fixed=Andale Mono,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
font=Noto Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
menuFont=Noto Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
smallestReadableFont=Noto Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
toolBarFont=Noto Sans,14,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0

I'm having exactly the same problem: Fresh install of KDE Neon (neon user 20200213-11:45). The fonts system settings module does not allow me to change anything and the apply button remains disabled. I created and logged into a new user account to see, if it is an issue with a messed up configuration, but the font module doesn't work in the fresh and untouched account either.

Screen recording from a new user account to show the problem: https://seafile.pdp7.de/f/5ef04be1c616495ab310/

This bug was submitted in a separate thread (and looks like it should be fixed now): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416358

Can anyone confirm whether this bug has been fixed or not? It seems from the bug report that it should already be in Neon. But I'm running the LTS edition & no sign yet of a fix.

Seems to be fixed here in Plasma 5.18.1 which is available for User Edition
