See that little padlock in the upper-right corner? So, if the user clicks it, that plasmoid will be locked, but the others wont. |

The picture is broken for me.

This is somewhat similar to the idea to be able to resize individual plasmoids using the mouse while holding down a certain key combination, even though the plasmoids are locked.
See move-rezise-plasmo ... 39411.html I find the idea outline in the linked thread better. First, it doesn't involve yet another icon. Second, all users I know usually lock all widgets, but want to manipulate a single one and therefore unlock temporarily. I believe that idea would provide for the same possibilities. If not, could you elaborate, R_Rios? |

I agree with mutlu. It seems that this two ideas are trying to solve similar problem but with opposite solution.

Bingo -- adding the lock icon to all the plasmoids would unecessarily clutter the interface (in a rather unattractice fashion as well, imo). |

Holding down a key combination isn't that intuitive, I guess. Also, the lock/unlock button won't be big enough to clutter the plasmoid's layout (yes, I suck on making mockups) - maximum of 10x10. EDIT: And also, there could be the keyboard shortcut AND the button. About the second point, the current "lock widgets" button in cashew could turn into a "lock all widgets" button and, if a user clicks on the button I've idealised, the plasmoid will be unlocked. (Well, perhaps I've malformulated the ideas' title. Changing it)
