I think it would get a lot easier for us to find out about new brainstorm ideas if we had
a plasmoid that will show the last 10/20 ideas and you could simoply vote through thi ssure it needs some validation and identificatioon stuff that is maybe needed. I would be really greatfull to do so. or do the plasmoid. But for this I could use some pointers to things I will need or interfaces that I can use for talking to the website.

The funny thing is that I actually wanted to write this plasmoid... however, it requires some changes in the forum itself first. I guess i'ts just a matter of time.

if there\'s an rss feed for the brainstorm entries, then it would be extremely trivial to do.

Indeed there is:

Yeah, but I was thinking more like "get only ideas with tag X" etc... would be nice for developers as well. My idea is to have something for developers/users to quickly check ideas of interest. A little more than reading a feed, unless the feed includes the tags.

I will try if I can write this one my self.
for the current state check my new repository http://github.com/xxtjaxx/xxtjaxxRepository/tree/master I thought it might be reasonable now that KDE goes git.

Yes, and offer sorting options: popular, newest, random* etc. Then additional filters such as time (last 24 hours, 3 days, ...), [tags], unvoted etc. * "Random" was the first thing I thought of - a plasmoid that shows one random idea every x minute. Yes, I\'m also interested in making this plasmoid. :P xxtjaxx, are you planning to make a binary or script plasmoid? For your information, I want to do the former while einar prefer scripting languages.

You would need a brainstorm-API.
@Hans It\'s unimportant. When you prefer C++, use C++. When you prefer Python or Ruby, use Python or Ruby. |

@The User - exactly, so I\'ll be talking with sayakb and the rest of the staff to see when such an API can be implemented, although other things have priority at the moment.

Yes I know, I was just curious about which language xxtjaxx preferred. If it is C++ (as it is in this case), it would probably be better if we cooperated instead of duplicated efforts.
