Very often we make screenshots to post them on web/show them to our friends.
to do that we need make a screenshot using KSnapshot, save it to disc and then open a browser and upload it somewhere (ok, at least drag it to pastebin plasmoid).

Wouldn't it be much simplier to add a direct button?
it could use a Kipi export plugin.8)

This is already possible by ksnapshot+plasma widget called "Pastebin".

KSnapshot allows draggin the thumbnail to other applications or places. The image is first stored to temp file when you have taken it, so it gets moved where you want it. If you place a "Pastebin" widget to panel or to desktop, you can drag the thumbnail straigh from the KSnapshot to it and drop it and it gets sended automatically to server what you have configured, by default it has imageshack in there.

I take screenshots just by snapping a area screenshot and then dropping it to that widget and I got URL from plasma notification.

Altough your idea would it make very easy from the application itself to do it without the plasma. It just should be possible to configure same way as the Pastebin -widget.

Well, if Kipi is not mandatory I don't really care.

Do not try this at home, part 1. Second most favorite command after KDE upgrade: # chmod -x /usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd

It could make use of the Digikam plugins? They allow uploading to Facebook etc.
